Jennifer Chavez
Associate Coach - NCE, LPC, CPCE
“Education is the passport to the future.”
Jenifer is super excited to embark on her new journey as an Academic World Changer. Working with Dr. Pam, Prudence, Sierra, and Ms. Joyce not only allowed her to successfully pass her exam, but also inspired her to become part of their dynamic educational team.
Education has always been a passion of hers. She truly considers herself to be a lifelong learner. She has a robust background with planning, training, instructing, facilitating, and advocating. As an educator, she believes it is imperative to “meet people where they are.” Understanding the importance of differentiating instruction, teaching to different learning styles, and abilities enable students to reach their max potential.
I was an elementary school educator in New Jersey for 11 years. Fun fact about me, I was a teacher at the same elementary school attended. I taught students from early childhood through high school. I enjoyed watching students “light-up” when they had their “ah-ha moments”. This phenomenon happens with students of all ages—even adult learners.
Jennifer also had the opportunity to work in Europe as a college and career counselor and adjunct professor for the University of Maryland Global Campus. Working with this diverse group of learners was also very rewarding for her. She often found herself being an educator and student while she was in this role. She believes this attribute is necessary to be an effective educator.
She currently works for the Department of Defense. She enjoys being part of providing services to those who serve us in the Armed Forces.
She holds her B.A. in Education and in English, M.Ed. in Counseling, Graduate Certification for Supervisor of Guidance and Curriculum. She recently passed the NCE and is looking forward to starting her observation hours. She also plans on pursuing her PhD. in the Mental Health field.
Being a military spouse has afforded her the opportunity to live in and learn so much about the world. There is no greater gift than to see and learn about people all over the world with her husband and 17 year old son. Working with World Changers as a coach will afford her the same opportunity to learn and impart knowledge with really diverse professionals.
She is looking forward to working with you all and adding stamps to her “passport”!
Happy Studying!
